Grief and loss can be experienced in many different ways. I found Cracked Open helped me visualize the positive and move forward, instead of wallowing in my grief. The thought prompts throughout the book were helpful for looking inward to connect with memories and feelings associated with loss that have been weighing me down. I see myself returning to the book as a resource as I continue to work through and grow from losses in my life journey.

I recommend this book to anyone going through grief ( from the loss of a loved one) or pain from a broken relationship. We will all go through grief and pain at different times in our life. This is a great book to help us get through those difficult times and it’s full of thought provoking questions. Teena did a great job explaining how she got herself through those difficult times and gave many suggestions and ideas on how to move out of that pain and onward with life.
This book is simply outstanding. It interlaces a very personal journey with thought provoking suggestions for improving our lives that I'd guess will be relevant to everybody. Regardless of where you are in life or your level of satisfaction with your life, this book offers practical ideas for improving it. Simply, "read it"!
The reader is asked deep questions that linger for hours and days. It is definitely a rewarding read.
