About Teena

Creative Founder, Claim the Lead | Best-Selling Author, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Board-Certified Coach, Holistic-Energy Practitioner, Integrated Somatic Trauma Therapist, Integral Psychotherapist

Hi, I’m Teena Evert

I specialize in helping highly sensitive and empathic people who are struggling with physical, mental, and emotional fatigue as a helper.

Our work together will give you the tools needed to RENEW your life force energy and RECLAIM your power so you can finally break free from a chronic stress cycle and heal from burnout.

My approach to therapy, healing, and well-being is holistic and focuses on the integration of our psychological, somatic, emotional, social, and spiritual selves.

It takes courage to reach out for help, and I will ensure that you feel well attended to and supported in your inquiry. I provide private sessions online for busy individuals who value flexibility.

I’m licensed in CO, AZ, UT, ID & WA and provide private online sessions for individuals who value flexibility.

I follow these ten principles of holistic practice:

  1. Unconditional love is life’s most powerful healer.
  2. Optimal health is more than the absence of sickness.
  3. Illness is viewed as a manifestation of the whole person, not as an isolated event.
  4. Holistic practitioners embrace a variety of safe, effective options in diagnosis and treatment, including education for lifestyle changes and self-care, as well as complementary approaches.
  5. Prevention is preferable to treatment and is usually more cost-effective. The most cost-effective approach evokes the patient’s own healing capabilities.
  6. A major determinant of healing outcomes is the quality of the relationship between the practitioner and client, in which client autonomy is encouraged.
  7. The ideal practitioner-client relationship considers the needs, desires, awareness, and insight of the client and the practitioner.
  8. Practitioners significantly influence patients through their example.
  9. Illness, pain, and the dying process can be learning opportunities for clients and practitioners.
  10. Holistic practitioners encourage clients to evoke the healing power of love, hope, humor, and enthusiasm and to release the toxic consequences of hostility, shame, greed, depression, prolonged fear, anger, and grief.

I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Santa Barbara Graduate Institute. I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Washington & Arizona, and a Board-Certified Life Coach often referred to as a “Personal Coach.”

I am working towards a Master’s Certification in Intuitive Medicine (MIM).

Best Selling Author, "Cracked Open, Healing from the Pain of Loss"

I wrote this book in 3-months after my Dad died. It honors my relationship with my Dad, and the spiritual awakening and growth accelerated by his passing.

Life-Long Student of Intuitive and Energy Medicine

2022 has been a year of recommitting to developing my clairvoyance and learning how to love and heal myself deeply. I work directly with several mentors and spiritual teachers who support and guide my journey towards greater spiritual fulfillment.

Once a devoted Yoga and Qi Gong Practitioner

I have been practicing yoga since I was 27 years old. As a former gymnast, I initially took to the practice because I was “good” at it. Soon to discover that yoga is first an energy practice, which began my journey of personal development and learning how to connect to my body and love myself. I am still working on this!

Energy is everything and everywhere….a daily dose of Qi Gong is good medicine.

Forever Cyclist

From my first bike with training wheels, I have always loved the freedom of riding a bike. I am an avid cyclist, both road and gravel, and I live in one of the best places in the country to play. I love to explore new places to ride and meet new people along the way. Cycling has been a significant part of my healing journey through grief and loss.

I stand for love, peace, and connection.

I am an empath, which means I have a high level of feeling and am not afraid of emotions. I stand for love, peace, connection, and attachment and will share my energy to create more of this in the world.

I have a powerful spiritual connection and use my light to create a life that is outside the mainstream box. I believe our life experiences, no matter how difficult they seem, are opportunities to wake up to our true selves and evolve as spiritual beings.

When we are not changing, we are choosing. Life gives us many breadcrumbs that lead to breakthroughs – I help guide my clients toward leading a life with more love, peace, and freedom.
